Between wrapping paper, gift bags, product packaging, cards, envelopes, and so on, gift-giving contributes to a significant amount of unnecessary waste throughout the year. With a bit of innovative design, a gift box can be so much more than a container we simply toss out after opening.
To cut down on some of this excess waste and take full advantage of all the materials used, my group partner and I developed a unique multiuse gift package for Bottlecraft, a beer shop in San Diego. This package is designed to securely hold three bottles that the customer can mix and match from the tasting room's vast selection of craft brews. Inspired by the creative atmosphere of Bottlecraft, the box then serves two artistic alternate functions to encourage the gift receiver to get crafty and reuse the packaging.
